Constructing a multi-structured 3D digital anatomical model using high-precision digitized human body data. Utilizing a full-color, multi-material 3D printer and environmentally friendly resin materials to produce highly realistic 1:1 anatomical models.
The texture features of the unevenness of the skull base are clearly visible. All the holes, fissures, and protrusions that enter and exit the skull are accurately preserved, including the sieve holes, rupture holes, spinous holes, carotid canals, and other structures. The flat, thin, and slender structures such as the sphenoid pterygoid process, pear bone, inferior turbinate, and styloid process are also displayed with precision. Anatomical features like the foramen ovale, petrous part of the temporal bone, grooves, fissures, protrusions, depressions, holes, impressions, and other markers are clearly defined and distinguishable.
Depending on the specific needs of the specimen, full-color hard printing, soft and hard composite printing, or full-color soft printing can be chosen, with model materials including transparent and opaque molding materials. The printing support is selected in automatic mode.
The 3D-printed model closely mimics the weight and hardness of the real anatomical specimen, offering a tactile and operational experience similar to the real specimen. It also provides a similar sensation of weight and softness, along with the same touch and manipulation experience. The realism, accuracy, and expressiveness of anatomical details in the printed models have been widely endorsed by anatomists, hand surgeons, and brain surgeons.
Although the printed 3D models showed slight variations in tone compared to the corresponding digital models, there were no significant differences in geometry, anatomical details, or textural features.
